The AMARE-eu project is approaching a key moment: on-site visits and trainings in the pilot cities will start soon.

After the meeting in Bonn, AMARE-eu team and the 4 pilot cities have worked hard to design the action plans for each of the cities. Rotterdam, Heraklion, Catanzaro and Skopje have listened to their community, the civil society and the persons responsible for emergency and for the management of migrants’ communities, analysing their situation and their needs regarding risk management, resilience and non-native communities.

Following this process, each city has designed and shared with AMARE-eu partners an action plan to be implemented in the project’s framework.

In the second half of October, the mentors from Lai-momo, City of Vejle, Assfam and Prepared International will start their tour in the pilot cities, to train local communities and to test AMARE-eu toolkit in real and concrete city environments. During the on-site visits, the mentors will meet city council officials, persons from the Civil Protection and from non-native communities and will hold training sessions.

In particular, on the 22nd and 23rd of October, the on-site visit in Catanzaro will be organized together with the Civil Protection; from the 25th to the 31st of October, it will be Heraklion’s turn; on the 27th and 28th November the trainers will go to Rotterdam, and in November-December in Skopje.

More information will follow after each on-site visit!
