Inspired by the 1st Nicosia Risk Forum, AMARE-EU partners met to set the agenda for the coming months while hosted by the European University of Cyprus (EUC). During this two-days meeting we finalized the AMARE-EU self-assessment tool and the Call for Cities which are now available online for all European municipalities who want to invest in strengthening their resilience.

Do you know what is urban resilience? Does your city have a risk management plan involving citizens and civil society? Are there measures in your city to reach and protect all citizens in case of natural or human-made disasters? What about your capacity for managing non-native residents within your territory? What is the risk awareness level in your city?

The  AMARE-EU self-assessment tool will help you answer all those questions and reach a better understanding of what your city can do to become more resilient.

By the end of the questionnaire, we hope you will be interested in joining the AMARE-EU amazing adventure! This project will help you increase urban resilience in a multicultural and inclusive perspective. A team of experts in the fields of risk and cross-cultural management will support and train you all along this European project.

So, if you want to make your city a safer place to live for all of your citizens, with a focus on non-native communities, take a chance! Good news for you, the call for European cities has just been launched and will be open until 31st of January 2019. For further information about the project content and how to candidate to become one of our pilot cities, check out our call regulation.

Hurry up, only 4 cities will be selected by AMARE-EU!
